Challenge
The Nordic affiliate of a European pharma company needed advice on the feasibility of launching two related branded generics (or alternative brands) into the four major Nordic markets. Assuming there was opportunity they sought strategic advice on how to launch most effectively.
Action
We first needed to understand the market which was in fact segmented due to the molecule having more than one indication. The competitive review covered competitors in the Nordics today but also other companies that could potentially enter the Nordic markets with existing medicines and those in development.
Result
Hawk Pharma Consulting had an interactive meeting with the client where we proposed launch strategies for the alternative brands in their respective segments. We built the client’s understanding of the market, the forecast, and the risks around both future competitor launches and indeed selecting a suitable manufacturer for this medicine. A comprehensive deck had been sent prior to the meeting so we could focus on building deep understanding and addressing questions.
