New product feasibility, forecasting & P&L > go-to-market & launch strategy

Challenge

A pharma company headquartered in Asia Pacific wanted to assess feasibility, go-to-market and launch strategy for a brand that would be the first licensed medicine to treat an increasingly recognised condition in women’s health in the UK.  This would assist their decision making and BD process.

Action

Revenue needed to be estimated based upon likely volume (a patient driven forecast) and price.  Assumptions and understanding of the market data was critical.  To build a P&L the launch strategy needed to be outlined and costed with full rationale provided.  From there, different models could be estimated – building an affiliate vs finding a commercial partner.

Result

A deck was provided in advance to allow the client time to review the content and raise questions to optimise our time in a meeting.  Our Consultant and other external parties then presented key element of the plan and addressed challenges from the client.  A thorough understanding of the brand’s market in the UK was built and also the financial and other implications of the different go-to-market models.  The client was enabled to make robust decisions.

Next Steps

With the facts and a clear understanding, the client can now make logical decisions about go-to-market strategy.  Hawk Pharma Consulting can further support on marketing planning and implementation.  If the decision is to partner, we can assist in the process of finding the strongest alliance for the future of the brand.  If you have a similar project please do get in touch – [email protected]
